Sony cassette tapes were once sold not only in Japan but around the world, including North America and Europe. Here are several models whose names or designs differ from those sold in Japan. Some may be new to you.

HF
An overseas version of the seventh-generation HF, released in 1991. Judging by the shell design, it appears identical to the Japanese version, although the label differs slightly.
HF
Another overseas version of HF, a basic tape with a long history. The words Mexico, U.S.A. and Canada on the label suggest that it was intended for North America.

Hi-Fi
This is also an HF for North America. It is interesting that the name returned to the earlier Hi-Fi. The design differs from Japanese models, and the blue label looks fresh.
EF
This model was not sold in Japan and appears to have been sold in Europe from the 1980s. Made in Japan is proudly displayed on the cassette.

FX
This FX also appears to have been sold in Europe. Judging by its rounded case, it probably dates from the later years of cassette production.
LNX
Despite the different name, this is the North American version of CHF, which could be called the face of Sony cassettes in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Like CHF, it appears to have had only one generation.
