A package released in the year J-League began, when it captured the attention of all Japan. Normal / High Position / Metal. Released in 1993.

The packages feature Jリーグキング (J.League King). Normal uses a green grid, High Position red radiating lines, and Metal blue concentric stripes. All were sold in two-cassette packs, making them substantial in size. The cassettes themselves were unchanged from the X series, with the same extra-wide-window shell and no special modifications. The available lengths were also the same as in the X series.
Explanatory note
This pack was planned by Sony, an official J-League supplier, in 1993, when the league began its first season and became a major sensation.
Each pack contained two X-series cassettes and came in three types: Normal, High Position and Metal. The package featured the J-League character Jリーグキング (J.League King), while index labels featuring team characters were enclosed inside. Jリーグパック (J.League Pack) was also sold for video tapes and floppy disks.
Museum note: J.League is Japan’s professional football league. Its first season began in 1993 with ten clubs. That same year, Sony, an official supplier of the league, released these cassette packs.
