SANSUI APS series console stereo catalog, 1970. All models are self-contained wooden furniture cabinets with built-in FM/AM tuner, amplifier, belt-drive turntable and speakers flanking the center unit. SANSUI calls it “Separate Stereo” - separate electronics, but all housed in one furniture piece.
The lineup runs six models: APS-900 and APS-900D (two cabinet finishes - walnut and elm), APS-1000, APS-1200M, APS-1300M, APS-1400M and the flagship APS-2600. The M suffix means Multi-Dynamic Sound - multiple speaker pairs each driven by dedicated amplifiers. The APS-2600 tops the range with MD Multi-Direction angled speakers and six amplifiers totaling 108W, priced at ¥189,500.
