A4 saddle-stitched booklet, 24 pages - DENON hi-fi component catalogue, No.5 on the cover. The first two spreads go not to models but to maxims about the soft and the hard (柔よく剛を制す, 剛よく柔を断つ) and to a “quiet that expresses nothingness” - that is how DENON leads into UHC-MOS and Advanced AL32. Then eight pages for CD and SACD, seven for amplifiers, and the book closes with a comparison grid covering six amplifiers and seven players at once. The span within a single amplifier line is seventeenfold: the PMA-390SE at ¥45,150 and the PMA-SX at ¥787,500 sit under one cover. There are no speakers at all, while vinyl takes four pages with six MC cartridges and two step-up transformers, and the only new item is the networked DNP-720SE with AirPlay, badged NEW right on the cover.
