The booklet covers 16-bit linear quantization at 44.1 kHz, an optical pickup with independent 2-axis objective lens drive, RAM-based correction of resistor deviation in the D/A converter, and a DC servo direct-drive motor for the disc - carried over from DENON’s analog turntables. The back cover lists the first batch of CDs from DENON Columbia (10 titles, C37-7001..C38-7010): Beethoven and Dvořák with Karajan, Mozart, the Max Roach Quartet’s “Live in Tokyo”, Billy Harper, and PCM “Aranjuez”; the DCD-2000 itself was priced at ¥189,000.
