DENON DTR-80P September 1991 - cover

A3 sheet folded once, on the DTR-80P - a portable DAT that both records and plays, 590 g in use, ¥89,800 (before tax). DENON leans hard on endurance: about 4 hours of playback on four alkaline AA cells, four power options (batteries, Ni-Cd pack, AC adapter, car cord), and a long-play mode up to 240 minutes on a 120 tape. Inside is a 64x oversampling A/D and an 18-bit interpolation D/A, optical and coaxial digital inputs for lossless recording, a 44.1 kHz master-recording mode, and TOC display on a wired remote with an EL-backlit LCD. The back cover lays out the kit: the DME-50 MS microphone, AH-C33 earphones, a case, a battery pack, a car cord, and the full R-DT tape lineup from R-46DT to R-120DT.
