An A4 stapled booklet, 24 pages - DENON’s general Hi-Fi components catalogue, No.5 on the cover. The range runs from the PMA-390SE at ¥45,150 to the PMA-SX at ¥787,500, so the premium models sit under the same cover as the budget ones, a seventeen-fold price spread within the integrated amplifiers alone. The first two spreads go not to models but to slogans about the soft and the hard (柔よく剛を制す, 剛よく柔を断つ) and a technology overview: UHC-MOS, Advanced AL32, and a reminder that DENON had PCM recording working back in 1972. There is not a single speaker, but vinyl takes four pages - five turntables and six MC cartridges with two step-up transformers, including the mono DL-102 for broadcast use. The only new arrival is the DNP-720SE network player with AirPlay and DLNA, flagged NEW right on the cover.

- INVERTED Σ BALANCE Circuit - balanced and unbalanced inputs feed the PMA-SX BTL power stage without a separate conversion stage
