Large Pioneer turntable catalog, 10 pages, March 1982. Leading the charge is the Artistic Sound series - PL-L1 at ¥200,000, PL-70LII with a carbon fiber tonearm at ¥170,000, and a couple more below. A separate story is the front-loading PL-88F and PL-44F that load records from the front like a cassette deck and stack neatly with other components. The PL-88F is even microcomputer-programmable - up to 8 tracks in any order. Then the main Quartz PLL lineup from PL-570 to PL-240A, the linear-tracking PL-780, and a selection of MC cartridges.
