A fold-out booklet with a complex fold, covering Technics tape decks and accessories for February 1979, Vol.2, headlined “The Deck is entering the digital era.” The cassette deck lineup runs from the entry-level RS-M22 up to the Metal-capable RS-M88, all built around the D.D. direct-drive capstan and IC logic transport control with digital FL displays. The concise RS-MO3 slots into the A4/3U Compo system format. Open-reel machines include the U-series and RS-1xxx decks with Isolated Loop transport technology, topped by the 76cm RS-1800 flagship and the studio-grade U-76 at 950,000 yen. Separate spreads cover car decks D-46 and D-86, 8-track, the XA II/XD/LN tape series and a full microphone line-up.
