- リアル20bit Λ(ラムダ)-S.L.C - Real 20-bit Lambda Super Linear Converter - two 20-bit DACs run in parallel with opposite signal offsets, their analog outputs are summed, and the conversion error at the zero crossing of one is cancelled by the error of the other (on DTR-2000G)
- シグマ/デルタ型A/Dコンバーター - Sigma/Delta A/D converter - unlike ladder-resistor types, it operates at a high sampling rate, allowing better phase response and a smoother analog low-pass filter (on DTR-2000G)
- 400倍速FF/REW + FINE CUE - 400x high-speed FF/REW - about 25 seconds for a 120-minute tape, plus FINE CUE - half-speed playback search for precise edit-point positioning
- SCMS (Serial Copy Management System) - Serial Copy Management System - allows one digital copy from CD/DAT but blocks subsequent digital copying of that copy. Present on all three models
- 44.1kHz マスター録音機能 - Direct 44.1 kHz master recording without rate conversion - for demo CD masters with no extra A/D-D/A conversions (on DTR-80P)
