Philips LHH1000 announcement leaflet, single A4 sheet printed both sides, released by Marantz Japan in December 1987. Philips, co-creator of the Compact Disc standard with Sony, positioned LHH1000 as a reference CD player at ¥600,000, inheriting the aluminum die-cast CDM-1 transport and a two-box layout (CD drive separate from D/A converter) plus a standalone remote from the professional LHH2000. Inside sits a fresh 16-bit 4x oversampling “A-version” filter with L/R independent 2DAC, four toroidal transformers for separate sections, copper-plated chassis for shielding, and 48/44.1 kHz input for CD, DAT and satellite HiFi. The learn-function remote memorizes VCR and TV commands, with claimed figures of 106 dB SNR, 97 dB DR, and 0.0015% THD.
