The whole concept is one compact unit instead of a stack of components - DC servo direct drive turntable, built-in FM/AM tuner, and compact speakers with a 16cm woofer. The booklet is typical late-70s SONY: philosophical copy about the value of simplicity, lifestyle interior photography, and a spec sheet with accessories on the back page.
