TAOC Speaker Base 1980

TAOC flyer (Takaoka Kogyo of Toyota, Aichi), a single A4 sheet printed on both sides, covering high-carbon cast-iron speaker bases 300DH and 300DL plus the upcoming 170DL (100×140×170 mm, 5.2 kg). The bases go under speakers or components: ¥7,450 each for the taller 300DH (200 mm tall, 9.2 kg) and ¥6,950 for the 300DL (140 mm, 8.0 kg), offered in three hammertone colors - black, brown and blue. The material is the point: contact surfaces get precision machining, and an in-flyer graph boasts that compared to a concrete block TAOC damps vibrations by an average of 15 dB across the 10-1000 Hz range. The reverse side mentions the maker’s 1980 Deming Prize in passing, which is a quietly bold flex for something you put under a loudspeaker.
